The vision of Applied Linguistics Study Program is to become a superior, creative, and innovative study program in the education, research and development of applied linguistics in Asia by 2025 through a harmonious working culture system, in line with the values of piety, independence, and scholarship. With such a vision, the study program is determined to conduct the following mission

1. Conducting linguistics lectures and their applied sciences with streams in Language Education, Literature, and Translation.

2. Carrying out applied linguistic research in the fields of Language Education, Literature and Translation.

3. Organizing Community Service activities based on results of Applied Linguistic studies in the fields of Language Education, Literature and Translation.

4. Developing new ideas in the field of applied linguistics which includes Language Education, Literature and Translation as a form of contribution to the world of science and education.

5. Establish relationship with relevant parties at national, regional, and international levels to ensure the quality improvement of teaching, research, and community services.
